Since our founding in 1987, we have been dedicated to helping students develop self-discipline, dedication, positive self-esteem, and an appreciation for the art of ballet.
We value and nurture each student’s unique gifts of talent and creativity in a safe studio environment in order to educate, enrich, and inspire. As a nonprofit school, we emphasize accessible dance education, welcoming students of all ages, experiences, and backgrounds. Our highly-trained staff is committed to educating and enriching each student, and inspiring their unique gifts of creativity in a safe studio environment.
Our vision is to inspire our community through accessible dance education and engaging performances. We truly believe that dance is for everyone and that art can foster community, create positive influence, and inspire the individual.
The Children’s Ballet has always been a community-supported, student-centered studio. We know kids today have so many choices for activities. That’s why we are so grateful for the hundreds of families who have spent time in our studio over the years.
Why is a second generation of dancers returning to The Children’s Ballet?
- We offer students a non-competitive, family-oriented studio with quality ballet training and a focus not only on technique, but also on their well-being and their personal growth. Our focus is on performing rather than competing, so our classes and performances emphasize teamwork, collaboration, and storytelling, rather than individual achievement.
- We emphasize accessible dance education, welcoming students of all ages, experiences, and backgrounds.
- All our students receive a classical ballet education, learning about classical music, composers, French ballet terminology, and how dance can tell a story without words.
