Building Our Future

Capital Campaign

For over 30 years, thousands of our students have grown in discipline, dedication, and positive self-esteem while training in the art of ballet. Some of them graduated to college and professional dance programs, and others have started their own ballet schools.

As we continue to introduce new families to our studio, we couldn’t be happier to welcome back the many alumni who are now bringing their own children to dance with us. We believe that dance can captivate anyone, and that art is a powerful force in inspiring personal growth and fostering community.

Last season we increased our enrollment increase by 25%, welcomed new board members and teachers, and doubled our studio space. This year, we have nearly 150 students and are finding ourselves out of space.

Building Our Future is a capital campaign to launch the next 30 years of growth at The Children’s Ballet.

The most significant part of this project is construction of a new studio behind our current building. The additional space will allow us to teach two classes simultaneously while keeping class sizes small and providing our students with the best possible educational experience.

We plan to raise $125,000 through donations and grants. This will allow us to update the exterior of our current building, and add new safety features, ADA compliant entrances, and an additional 600 square feet of dance space!

The Children’s Ballet has always been a community-supported, student-centered studio – and we hope to keep it that way. Your tax-deductible donation will make a huge difference to the young people we serve through our programs.

What Does Your Gift Support?

We know kids today have so many choices for after-school activities. That’s why we are so grateful for the hundreds of families who have chosen to spend time in our studio over the years.

Why are we seeing a second generation of dancers return to The Children’s Ballet? Here are a few things that set us apart from other dance schools:

  • We offer students a non-competitive, family-oriented studio with quality ballet training and a focus on not only technique, but also on the well-being of the students and their personal growth.
  • As a nonprofit school, we emphasize accessible dance education, welcoming students of all ages, experiences, and backgrounds.
  • Students who join The Children’s Ballet, including very young students, receive a classical ballet education, learning about classical music, composers, French ballet terminology, and how dance can tell a story without words.
