A Note From Anne Johansson, Executive Director
Thanks for taking the time to read our first newsletter of the 2016-2017 season. We hope this will be an easy way to stay in touch and keep you up to date on what’s happening in the studio at The Children’s Ballet and in the world of dance.
This season, as a non-profit school, we will be partnering with local organizations and increasing our involvement in community events. We will also be informing you on how we are raising and using funds – every dollar goes right back into the school to help us keep tuition low, get costumes, and keep quality dance education.
My vision and philosophy for the direction of The Children’s Ballet is to foster an educational and creative environment where every child feels safe to be exactly who they are. Students will be challenged and trained in classical ballet by our excellent instructors, but they will also learn how to move and carry themselves, how to make healthy choices and take care of their body, and what a positive body image looks like. They will learn respect and discipline. And most of all, they will have fun!
Thank you for coming along with us as we begin the 2016-2017 season. Please contact me at any time with questions or concerns.
-Anne Johansson
