Our dancers have been working very hard this season and are excited to present the original ballet, “La Clara De Luna,” in less than eight days!

Here are a few final notes about the performance:
Can You Help?
Putting on a full-length ballet is only possible with all of our fantastic volunteers. During rehearsals, large props must be assembled, backdrops hung and small accessories created. After the performance, every item from the ballet must be removed from the high school. A volunteer sign-up sheet is available at the studio, or you may email info@thechildrensballet.com or call Miss Deni at 317-745-0570.
Rehearsals
- Dancers need to attend all scheduled rehearsals to dance in the performance.
- If all our dancers are ready 15 minutes before rehearsals and 30 minutes before the performance, we should be able to stay on schedule. We are charged by the hour for the use of the high school auditorium so starting late and ending late can be costly for us.
- The high school does not allow food in the auditorium. Please snack in the hallway or cafeteria.
- Parents are responsible for watching their child during rehearsals. Please do not drop off a dancer and return later.
Performance
- Please have your dancer at the high school and ready for the performance at 4 p.m. on May 30.
- We try to keep the choir room a “parent-free” zone during rehearsals and the performance in order to minimize confusion while dancers wait their turn to perform. There will be adult volunteers in the choir room during rehearsals and performances.
- Group and individual pictures will be taken during the dress rehearsal. Checks may be made out to Deckard Photography. The “Memory Package” is available for $15.
- DVD’s of the performance may be purchased on May 30 for $20. DVD’s and photos will be mailed to you.
- Small bouquets will be sold by Courthouse Grounds at the high school before the performance for $7.
Costumes
- Dancers should wear their regular studio attire for all rehearsals except for the dress rehearsal.
- A number of people have worked very heard to create a special costume for your dancer. Please take care of it at home and during rehearsals.
- Please remove the black diamonds and ribbons from your dancer’s slippers.
- Low buns are suggested, unless otherwise discussed. Please do not use pink or black “bun holders” with your dancer’s costume. Please secure all headpieces with bobby pins.
- Make-up is suggested as it helps the audience see your dancer’s face.
- Footed pink ballet tights must be worn by all dancers.
Tickets
- Tickets should be paid for by May 24. Unpaid tickets will be returned for general seating and walk-up purchases.
