Dancing Into Spring
Spring Showcase
Due to continued COVID restrictions, we are reimagining how we can showcase our dancers instead of an end-of-year performance. We are so proud of our dancers’ hard work, but also realize that our typical production is simply not feasible this spring. However, the show will go on with a special opportunity for every dancer!
One time per week classes: Classes that meet once each week will learn a dance throughout the spring semester. They will receive a costume, and during the last week of classes we will film the dance in the studio to perform a virtual showcase. Parents will be emailed a link to the password-protected page on our website to watch for free.
Two or three times per week classes: Classes that meet two times or more each week will learn a dance in each class they attend. They will receive one costume and perform a live showcase with limited attendance at Ellis Park Amphitheatre in Danville on Friday, June 4 at 7pm (rain date is June 5 at The Royal Theater in Danville). This will also be live-streamed online for those who are not able to attend in person. Families who have paid for more than one costume will be refunded automatically.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating our students in June!
Policy Reminders
Weather Closings: We are closed according to the Danville Community School closings. Check Facebook and Instagram for confirmation and Saturday closings.
Illness: To limit the spread of illness, please keep your dancer home if they stay home from school the same day. For more information on our health and safety guidelines + our wellness policies, please visit our website.
Attire: Students should arrive at the studio ready to dance, with hair neatly in place (bun or braid), wearing clean, neat, uniform ballet attire. Dressing properly for class is a lesson in itself as students learn both discipline and cooperation. Please also have students use the restroom before class as it can be disruptive to the flow of class. Thank you!
Pick up/Drop off: A reminder that our waiting room is open if you would like to wait inside. If possible, for student safety, please pick up your student at the side cement porch at the end of class.
